Rove is toast. He is completely done for politically and career-wise; he lied to the public, he lied to reporters, Scott McClellan repeatedly lied on his behalf, and he probably lied under oath to the grand jury. Lawrence O’Donnell 9 days ago said it would break out “by the end of the week” so he was only off in fact by two days. This story is the direct result of someone at TIME Magazine giving the Rove e-mail directly to Newsweek (“grand jury evidence” as well) out of disgust for Cooper’s (weak) I’ll-go-to-jail-to-save-you-Karl-no-maybe-I-won’t defense of Rove.
