The House of Representatives at this hour is finally approving the $10.5 billion for relief already passed by the Senate. The Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert, who yesterday told the Chicago Tribune “it doesn’t make any sense” to rebuild New Orleans, is not present. He is at a fundraiser in Indiana.
