THIS STORY is the end of Brown; if Bush does not fire him within the next 24 hours his Presidency itself may not survive. I am so disgusted I want to cry. This order, here on the FEMA web page for the world to see, is now part of this history-making news story. Newsweek should burn in journalistic hell for printing the heinous lies they had this week. Almost makes me want a souvenir copy.

Meanwhile, the airline industry said the government’s request for help evacuating storm victims didn’t come until late Thursday afternoon. The president of the Air Transport Association, James May, said the Homeland Security Department called then to ask whether the group could participate in an airlift for refugees.

This was just about the time that Brown was on television saying he “didn’t found out until the people at the Convention Center until today”; and Chertoff was on NPR (LINK WILL BE HERE LATER) dismissing any such idea (horrifying images of starving, dehydrating and dead people in the thousands had been on the networks for hours) as a “rumor.” These lies cost the lives of American citizens. As I write this, the body of the 7 year old girl whose throat was cut at the Convention Center on one of the last nights, the body of the elderly woman in a wheelchair whose image was shown across the world, and many others are still rotting in a freezer at the Convention Center, which horrifically the military has begun to re-use. as a staging point for people still being rescued.

A mortician says he was told to be prepare for 40,000 bodies from this disaster being brought for processing. Let’s hope he’s a liar.

Finally, the proof that the President himself was briefed in detail about the danger of Katrina, including the flood danger, levees and all. So now it is proven that last week Bush, Chertoff, and Brown all three “dealt with the situation” by simply lying to the American people, while more victims continued to pointlessly die.
