AP-This is what happens when a President freaks out from stress and fear. He lashes out at the dead, the dying, and those made homeless by a storm whose danger he virtually ignored:
At a news conference, Pelosi, D-Calif., said Bush’s choice for head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency had “absolutely no credentials.”
She related that she had urged Bush at the White House on Tuesday to fire Michael Brown.
“He said ‘Why would I do that?'” Pelosi said.
“‘I said because of all that went wrong, of all that didn’t go right last week.’ And he said ‘What didn’t go right?'”
“Oblivious, in denial, dangerous,” she added.
What didn’t go right? Maybe the President should ask Ethel Foreman, who spent half her life without the right to vote. She died while waiting for the Federal Government to act:
Perhaps I’m being unfair to Bush; after all, we’ll never get to hear her story about what went right as she waited for days without food and water, while he wasted precious time blaming others and lying about his prior knowledge of the danger to their lives of a flood.
