Bush’s friends at Kenyon International want to quit and are not sending enough people in there to remove the bodies.
UPDATE: THERE IS STILL NO CONTRACT TO REMOVE THE BODIES with Kenyon. It appears to me that FEMA is trying to stick Blanco with the job, which contradicts FEMA’s National Response plan. In other words, the Feds are STILL trying to throw their own clearly-defined official responsibilities (beyond the ones in controversy) over onto the state. FEMA from the beginning has issued actual ORDERS for rescuers and military not to pick up bodies in the New Orleans area; now Bush’s friends at Kenyon are trying to duck out of their contract and not complete the job. This is incredibly shameful.
Keep in mind – 50% of New Orleans is still under water and that includes almost all of the 9th Ward. This is also where the most people died; a reporter on TV telling you they don’t see many bodies downtown or in the French Quarter means absolutely nothing.
