Those of you who know me can recall that I’ve spouted on and on endlessly about how 2 major groups, the Army leadership (the more professional types, not the political suck-ups) and the Senate (meaning all the Dems plus some key Republicans in foreign policy areas) are serious about investigating the scandal of US torture in Iraqi prisons. Last Sunday’s Hersh article in the New Yorker (another must-read) adds the CIA to that list. The UPI has a news analysis article here stating the same thing. Not trying to blow my own horn too much, but just feeling better about what I’ve been saying to pessimists about this scandal since the end of April..
