The AP has obtained videotapes of the infamous briefings given to Bush and Chertoff before hurricane Katrina hit, which show as documented before that numerous officials warned them in detail of levees breaking if the hurricane hit New Orleans, and the predicted disaster that would result. The tapes also show for the first time that Brown warned them extensively in advance and begged for federal assistance and action from the top level during these meetings, which occurred days before the hurricane hit land.
