Did FBI Try to Keep the Lid on Foley in July?

Not only did the FBI not act when watchdog group CREW, in July 2006, forwarded them the same e-mails that in September broke open the Foley scandal, but FBI agents are now lying and pointing the finger at the people who did the right thing. What are they covering for, their negligence, or in July were they only interested in stifling the whistleblower? CREW is the group that Hastert keeps making conspiratorial mumblings about as a “George Soros funded attack group,” which is not at all an accurate description of what they are.
