3,067 Americans Dead in Iraq

The latest list of recent dead includes those supposedly killed in the still-mysterious “militia attack” in Karbala last Saturday:

Four soliders were killed Saturday in a militia attack in Karbala; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska. Killed were:

– Army 1st Lt. Jacob N. Fritz, 25, Verdon, Neb.

– Army Spc. Johnathan B. Chism, 22, Gonzales, La.

– Army Pfc. Shawn P. Falter, 25, Cortland, N.Y.

– Army Pvt. Johnathon M. Millican, 20, Trafford, Ala.

But the media reports of the Karbala attack described the killers reaching the room where high level negotiations were taking place and opening fire on only the Americans in the room. Top Karbala Iraqi officials were meeting with 3 privates and a Lieutenant? I don’t buy it.
