WH Confirms Five Million e-mails Destroyed

The mainstream press is now reporting, and seems to understand, that there are at least two different sets of “missing” e-mails: those “lost” from the account that Rove was illegally using at the RNC, and another set of 5 million e-mails, originally reported by CREW yesterday, that were intentionally destroyed after a poor e-mail conversion from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook. Theyr’e also now admitting that all sort of special policies were done by the RNC-contracted company to archive Karl Rove’s e-mails, which proves that everyone was fully aware that Rove was doing something totally against Bush’s own e-mail policy: running 95% of his e-mail on an outside server. It’s illegal, he was doing it, they were fully aware of it, they never stopped him. What should begin right now is an outcry for Rove himself to be fired, simply for nothing more than his illegal use of an outside e-mail server, because Rove has a Top Secret security clearance. Rove should immediately be subpoenaed as a witness by Congressional committees dedicated to Homeland Security, directly in order to make him answer questions about this illegal practice. And all of the IT people for the RNC computer firm, Smartech, should be subpoenaed, and their servers. All of this data needs to be recovered, it belongs to the American people, it’s criminal evidence, and we know exactly where it is.
