4,000 AMERICANS DEAD IN IRAQ

At least 61 Iraqis were killed today, and four US soldiers, this brings the total from 3,996 yesterday to 4,000 American soldiers killed in a pointless, counterproductive war. That number was less than 500 when George W. Bush said “Bring ’em on.”

BAGHDAD (AP) — A roadside bomb killed four U.S. soldiers in Baghdad on Sunday, the military said, pushing the overall American death toll in the five-year war to at least 4,000.The grim milestone came on the same day that rockets and mortars pounded the U.S.-protected Green Zone, underscoring the fragile security situation and the resilience of both Sunni and Shiite extremist groups despite an overall lull in violence. 

According to the BBC,  15 people were killed in the Green Zone by this attack.
