Less than 24 hours before she was announced as nominee for Vice President of the United States. Oh, and one other thing, she was a member of a political party that wanted Alaska to secede from the U.S. government she now seeks to lead. Â This party called for its memers to “infiltrate” the two major parties; mission accomplished. Two other comments, one is that when I tuned into what is listed as “Republican National Convention” on satellite TV tonight, what I saw were nonstop reports of hurricanes including detailed reminders of Katrina, occasionally punctuated by talk about teenage pregnancy in Palin’s family shocking the GOP. Â Thought number two is this, what if it were Obama, whose teenage daughter, by definition a black girl, were pregnant out of wedlock? Â Would the media be treating it as nobody’s business, and would McCain be telling everyone to leave the story alone?
