Palin Tells Troops Iraq Attacked US on 9/11

For these men and women, some of whom will almost certainly never return home, this is what the last high official, a governor, told them:

[You will] defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans.

This is a pure lie which Bush himself formally rejected years ago. This was a large group of soldiers and inevitably at least some of them will not return alive from Iraq. Palin’s actions mean that the last reason given to those soldiers by a high government official for why they are dying for their country will be a lie.
