According to his own campaign attorney, Franken, by his own count, leads Norm Coleman by 22 votes. Perhaps as proof of his confidence, he is also dropping over 600 challenges from his grand total of about 3,000. This seems to show that the extra 600 (frivolous) challenges were done tit-for-tat in conjunction with Coleman’s frivolous challenges of absolutely clear votes for Franken, and now that Franken’s team realizes they are ahead, there is no reason to worry about that anymore. Despite the consistently too-close-to-call nature of this, I still think Franken will emerge the official winner of the recount, and it’s Coleman who will sue.
