GOP State Legislators Key and Brogdon Talk Treason

These two Oklahoma state legislators are traitors to the people and State of Oklahoma. Brogdon is running for Governor. The Governor commands the Oklahoma National Guard. What does he plan to do, order the Guard to hand out their weapons to a right-wing, racist mob? This is a national disgrace (that is a national news story I am linking to) and it happens just 7 days from April 19th, the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. Brogdon and Key should simply resign from the legislature, and everyone in the state should demand it happen before next Monday.

UPDATE: As this story predictably gets more coverage in the media and blogosphere, Think Progress elaborates on the background of these winners:

Both Berry and Brogdon lean heavily on far right propaganda and media outlets to fuel their conspiracy theories. Berry frequently cites conservative news outlets like CNS and notes that he draws inspiration from the white supremacist thriller The Turner Diaries. Despite his extremism, Berry has met with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) and other members of the Oklahoma Republican delegation, and counts them as “rock solid.” Brogdon, whose states’ rights resolution was drafted by corporate lobbyists opposed to health reform, has been endorsed by the lobbyist-run Tea Party Express and has appeared on on Fox News, Alex Jones’ radio show, and at a Glenn Beck rally.

The Turner Diaries was McVeigh’s favorite book. I highly recommend this rant blasting this racist “militia” phenomenon. My own views are incredibly similar so there’s really no need to write another one, although I invite everyone here to expound on it.
