Comcast bought NBC and MSNBC, and fired Keith. Why was he fired? No one knows and no one is saying, the only controversy of note he has had was that he was disciplined for giving money to Gabrielle Giffords’ campaign, out of sympathy after her offices were attacked. Since then, she was shot in the head, and he was fired. Here is his final signoff.

UPDATE: Interweb rumors seem to indicate that Olbermann was removed from his show, yes, the one that made the entire network what it is today, but that he may still be working for Comcast on a different network the “VS.” sports network. In that case, he was “fired” from his show, but not his employment with the new owners. I’d rather offer that correction here than change the headline.
