Anyone who tells you that none of this gets into the atmosphere is lying. Seven tons of highly radioactive water per hour are leaking out of one reactor. Queue up the news announcers saying “it’s under water so it’s not as bad as Chernobyl, which was land-locked.” No word on how this will affect the 1,000 or more bodies of tsunami victims that lie in the area around the plant irradiated and exposed to the elements, too radioactive to pick up.
