A particularly alarming finding concerns deaths of adults in the programs. In one 2 1/2 year stretch, 227 adults already getting services died while waiting for a nurse to reassess their needs. Another 27 died waiting for their initial assessment, to see if they qualified for help.

How many extra Alaskans died in a completely preventable way because Palin wanted to play at being a national political jetting around the lower 48 for a few months?  Why have states like Louisiana, Misssippi, Alabama, Oklahoma and Arkansas outperformed Alaska in this area, making Alaska the only state to require Federal intervention to save lives?  And yes, boys and girls, this was just a few days before she abruptly resigned her office.
