No More “Surges”

PETRAEUS RESIGNS AS CIA DIRECTOR and regardless of the reason, good riddance. 2,150 American troops dead in Afghanistan, 4,486 in Iraq. Petraeus participated in a hoax to fake a “WMD discovery” in Iraq.

Romney Felt Like Neocon Hostage

Of course he did, he didn’t have the guts to go his own way, even when he was wrong and needed to apologize. Especially then.

Within hours, on the advice of his messaging shop and with the blessing of his foreign policy advisers, Romney approved a statement that accused Obama of sympathizing with anti-American interests in the Muslim world. It was sent out shortly after 10 p.m.

By sunrise the next day, it was clear to Romney that they had acted too quickly. The campaign learned that four Americans had been killed in an attack on a U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. Even to some Republicans, Romney’s hasty statement looked insensitive.

“We screwed up, guys,” Romney told aides on a conference call that morning, according to multiple people on the call. “This is not good.”

His advisers told him that, if he took back his statement, the neoconservative wing of the party would “take his head off.” He stood by it during an appearance in Florida. Two days later, Obama traveled to Joint Base Andrews to meet the four flag-draped coffins.

From then on, including during the final debate on foreign policy, Romney was reluctant to engage Obama on the Libya attack, a useful way to discredit his otherwise strong record on national security issues.

Birther Elected Chief Justice Of Alabama Supreme Court

I predict he will be 100% successful in keeping Barack Obama off the ballot in Alabama.

“All Posts Discontinue”

Mitt was in bed when the Secret Service left.

At some point, early Wednesday morning, when Gov. Mitt Romney and family were tucked into bed, a quiet call went out on the radio channel used by his Secret Service agents: “Javelin, Jockey details, all posts, discontinue.”
Of all the indignities involved in losing a presidential race, none is more stark than the sudden emptiness of your entourage. The Secret Service detail guarding Governor Romney since Feb 1. stood down quickly. He had ridden in a 15-car motorcade to the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston for his concession speech. He rode in a single-car motorcade back across the Charles River to Belmont. His son, Tagg, did the driving.

A very short time later, his staffers, many of whom have been campaigning for Mitt Romney for seven years, left the “Romney Victory Celebration” perhaps just as shocked, but Mitt had one more surprise for them.

BOSTON — From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his campaign quickly began to disassemble itself.
Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.

Contrast this with the video below.

Obama Thanks The Best Presidential Campaign Staff Ever

This is truly a must see. Inspirational and riveting, and real.

Meet The “Press”

Wonder why David Gregory believed all that bullshit that failed political operative Karl Rove was putting out?
Oh yeah, this.

Romney “shellshocked” by loss, say staffers

Unfit to be a small town mayor given his level of political ignorance, much less President of the United States.

But then came Colorado for the president and Florida also was looking tougher than anyone had imagined.

“We just felt, ‘where’s our path?'” said a senior adviser. “There wasn’t one.”
Romney then said what they knew: it was over.
His personal assistant, Garrett Jackson, called his counterpart on Mr. Obama’s staff, Marvin Nicholson. “Is your boss available?” Jackson asked.
Romney was stoic as he talked the president, an aide said, but his wife Ann cried. Running mate Paul Ryan seemed genuinely shocked, the adviser said. Ryan’s wife Janna also was shaken and cried softly.
“There’s nothing worse than when you think you’re going to win, and you don’t,” said another adviser. “It was like a sucker punch.”

The Worst In News

Just gets worse. This is the moment of Obama’s re-election as shown on CNN Tuesday night. They went to a live shot of people celebrating in Kenya. CNN is every bit as bad as I have told you all that it is. They are disgraceful. I don’t include Fox News in this comparison because they make no attempt at news reporting.
