I can’t see President McCain, or President Romney, Gingrich, Perry, Bachmann, Santorum allowing this. Some may consider it minor but it’s a great day for the country when this can happen. Soon it won’t be news at all anymore. That’s change.

This really happened, today. Really? Presidential material? Really, this guy? Boehner figures out how to make one more pathetic “showdown” and threaten the well-being of millions of Americans before the year ends. He approved of a bipartisan deal that the Senate passed 89-10. Now he wants to tear it up. I have just watched, on television, the final convoy cross the border into Kuwait. Some of these troops will be home for Christmas. George W. Bush had no intention whatsoever of honoring the December 31, 2011 deadline in the agreement he signed with the Iraqis in 2008; by comparison, President Obama has stuck to the letter of the agreement and forced the withdrawal to happen on time. This is what Reaganism has done to our country. The American middle class is headed for extinction. Read it and weep.
At the same time they are trying to “opt out” the entire population (excluding themselves, of course) of one of the poorest, least insured states in the country. I agree, it should simply be against the law. A frightening vision of the past decade. It’s already reality and the predictions of course have mostly come to pass. |
