Just a reminder. The death of Bin Laden should certainly help promote the idea.
Not worthy of much local coverage somehow. Correction: This Jacksonville news article indicates indirectly that KFOR covered the aftermath.

Not worthy of much local coverage somehow. Correction: This Jacksonville news article indicates indirectly that KFOR covered the aftermath. This was inevitable (they didn’t have the votes in the Senate) but still great news. I’ve tried not to post too many “updates” about the ever-changing news story about the top secret military killing raid into Pakistan. However, I recommend these articles to anyone who is interested. First, you have the article explaining that most of the 38 minutes on the ground was spent searching for data on Al Qaeda operations, not in a firefight. The editorial angle here is “ooh, only one person was armed and fought back,” which I think buries the most important factor, which was the thorough search for Al Qaeda data. This second article relates the growing belief that a secret type of US helicopter was used in the raid and had to be demolished. I think that the use of such top secret equipment indicates that the US truly distrusted the Pakistani military and ISI, regardless of any skepticism about what was said in public. Breaking news. Did this man run because he was tipped off about the warrant for his arrest, or did he respond to the news that the U.S. killed Osama Bin Laden by flipping out? Why shoot it out with the FBI over a vandalism or hate crime charge? Pakistani man sells photos from the Bin Laden compound. Warning, there are photos of 3 dead bodies in the slideshow. Best thing I’ve read on the subject. Boarded the buses 50 years ago today. Be sure to listen to this radio report on the history.
