France Warned US Niger Claims Were False

This was in La Repubblica (Italy) two weeks ago; now it’s finally mainstream news in the United States. A thorough, complete investigation that came to the same conclusion as Joe Wilson, totally covered up.

2nd Iraqi-Run Torture Prison Found

Ellen Knickmeyer for Washington Post. Also the New York Times has their version of the story. Quotes below from the Post.

An Iraqi official with firsthand knowledge of the search said that at least 12 of the 13 prisoners had been subjected to “severe torture,” including sessions of electric shock and episodes that left them […]

Doom Watch for Rove

Some time in the next 24 hours an article revealing the testimony of TIME reporter Viveca Novak will be posted on the magazine’s web site. CNN: 30,000 Troops To Be Pulled Out of Iraq

Hype or not? Note this detail:

A second brigade — about 3,500 troops — from the U.S. Army’s 1st Infantry Division might be held back and other units that train Iraqi forces might be scaled down, the source said.

To me, this makes the story more credible, not less.
