Three thousands pages of documents, which means of course there has not been time to sift through them yet for the relevant ones.
UPDATE: The documents are beginning to show up on the House Judiciary Website. The ones I’ve read so far are quite relevant and damaging. For example, one contains evidence that Carol Lam, the US Attorney in San Diego who convicted Duke Cunningham, was pressured by GOP Congressman Darrell Issa. This is just the beginning. The White House is actually shopping for a Gonzales replacement, so put his resignation out of your mind, it has gone way, way beyond that. As I predicted just over a week ago, this is the biggest scandal in terms of resignations, illegality and damage that will be thoroughly covered by the media, of any so far in the Bush administration.
UPDATE II: Here is my first “catch” from the document dribble so far:
THIS DOCUMENT REVEALS FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT THE ORIGINAL PURGE WAS 9 US ATTORNEYS, NOT 8. THERE ARE 9 BULLET POINTS HERE. WHO ARE THE REDACTED ATTORNEYS? DO THEY INCLUDE PATRICK FITZGERALD?
