The US military is lying about this 2007 incident in Iraq. A US helicopter gunship, with assistance from another helicopter, killed 10-12 people on the street, then when crewmen spotted one of the Reuters journalists still living, he asked for and received permission to shoot and kill him. Note that the civilian van that arrives on the scene of the mass shooting has two children in it. Both were shot by the helicopter in the attack. Every single person that appears on screen in this video that is not a US soldier is an unarmed civilian and two are journalists. None escaped being shot. Place this 2007 video in the context of figures like Bush, Cheney, and McCain boasting constantly of the “surge” in Iraq and their claims that it was a great success.
