Good thing this guy is listening to our President’s call for civility. Whoever in the media wants to criticize this man for his “uncivil” statements should show their own bullet wounds from the mass murder attack first. UPDATE: Eric Fuller has been arrested for supposedly “intimidating” the Tucson Tea Party chief, the man who said that Giffords brought the shooting on herself. Eight out of nine are Jews. When will the “blood libel” stop? Speaking of blood libel, Sarah Palin made huge national headlines when she denounced the health care bill, which Gabrielle Giffords supported, for creating “death panels” that supposedly wanted to kill her disabled son. Palin was accusing Giffords, who is Jewish, of wanting to kill her child. Oh yeah, and put rifle crosshairs on her. By showing their reporter firing an assault rifle. With no explanation. U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is in critical condition in a Tucson hospital, fighting for her life with her skull temporarily removed and a bullet hole in her brain. The head of the Tucson “Tea Party” thinks this is her fault. He apparently is still angry that Giffords dared to object last March when Palin published a map with rifle crosshairs representing the fate of the Congresswoman. This is Jared Loughner of Arizona. This former suspect today was sentenced to three years in prison. Before being stopped, he wiped out many more Democratic members of Congress illegally than the suspect above did. For some reason, a “reality” show that featured a rich, well fed woman shooting defenseless, harmless animals with a rifle in a staged event for corporate TV cameras got bad ratings. Go figure. Although Congressional Republicans postponed business for a week in respect for their colleague shot through the head by an anti-federal-government maniac, Palin’s TV show enjoyed it’s “season finale,” er, series finale, on Sunday, along with a “marathon” that included (at least twice) footage of her shooting a caribou in cold blood. Although hunters during the TV series run criticized her as inept with handling a rifle, we all know she’s very familiar with the view through the scope.
This map was still on Palin’s web page Saturday morning when Jared Loughner called a cab to take him to go shoot his Congressional representative. 18 of the 20 Democrats targeted there had won re-election over two months ago, yet the page was still displayed by Palin. What was the map supposed to mean after the election was settled? Some 8 hours plus after a cab driver was cleared as a suspect in the Arizona mass killing that gravely wounded U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, CNN had this “scroll” at the bottom of their screen every 20 seconds. The first screenshot was taken soon after 8PM central time.
This shot was taken over an hour later, at 9:21PM central time. This is entirely consistent with CNN’s decades-long record of factual errors and sloppy journalism. |
